Other Organizations
One of my favorite things that I participate in each is the Best Buddies event,
The Art of Friendship. The celebration showcases artwork created jointly by local artists
and Best Buddies participants in commemoration of the thousands of friendships formed as a result of Best Buddies.
This years event was held in the gallery at the Marvis Art Center and included delicious snacks &
beverages plus silent & live auctions. The piece that my buddies, Sara and Cecily & I created (see below) was auctioned for over $400!
It was also featured on the invitations to the event!
We had a wonderful day together taking photos that I used to make this digital collage. I was so happy to participate
and to help raise funds for this wonderful organization. For more information about Best Buddies visit their
website!
Another activity I am involved in is volunteering as a guest artist with the adult day activities at Noble of Indiana.
Noble has pursued its mission of creating opportunities for people with developmental disabilities to live meaningful lives
since 1953. For more information about Noble and it's programs visit their
website. I look forward to the mornings I am able to spend making art with
the wonderful participants and staff at Noble!
